Annual Game Dinner and Raffle

Please mark your calendars for March 7, 2026, as we will be hosting our annual game dinner. If you are interested in donating raffle items, please contact us. More information and tickets for purchase at our January meeting..

Fellow members,

We have scheduled our annual Game Dinner for Saturday March 7 2026 at Anthony’s Lake House in Danbury Ct.  The cost per ticket will be $70, and a table of 10 will be $700. Seating capacity is 230 seats or 23 tables of 10.

The menu will be similar to prior years, Anthony’s always does a great job for us and the dinner sells out in advance.  As a result NO tickets will be available for sale at the door so don’t wait until the last minute to get your tickets.  Every year I have to turn away members who wait until the last minute and we have no more tickets available.  Don’t miss out!

We will have the usual bucket raffles and guns to be raffled separately as well as a 50/50 raffle. These raffles are a major factor in making our event a financial success and help us fund the club activities while keeping dues reasonable.

We have several members each year who donate raffle prizes and we truly appreciate all contributions (either cash or merchandise) you might wish to donate as well.

Tickets will be available at the regular club meetings, but if you want to secure yours in advance, you can contact me and we can arrange for payment and I will mail them to you as we have done in the past.

Resident Game Bird Conservation Stamp

Resident Game Bird Conservation Stamp:
Under the current DEEP CT program, Newtown Fish and Game Club Members are exempt from purchasing the stamp while hunting for pheasant (birds we stock) only on Club property. You will need the Stamp to hunt wild turkey, ruffed grouse, bobwhite quail, chukar and
Hungarian partridge at a cost of $28.00.

The Club encourages members to purchase “Resident Game Bird Conservation
Stamps” as all revenues from the sale of Resident Game Bird Conservation Stamps
will be deposited into a separate, non-lapsing account to use exclusively for the
purchase and management of game birds and their habitat.

If the hunter wants to hunt woodcock, crows, or waterfowl you will also need to
purchase a Connecticut Migratory Bird Conservation Stamp which also includes the
HIP permit. Cost $17.00. More information on the Website: Info on DEEP website as well as any federal permits required.

If you belong to another club and are going to hunt that location on the same day,
you are required to tag the birds taken on Newtown Fish and Game Club properties to protect yourself as you may exceed the daily bag and possession limit set forth by CT DEEP.
